Defense Mechanizms features the amazing guitarist Michael Harris playing his personal brand of mini-symphonies, classical metal and progressive music. Originally released in 1991, the guitar work is beyond belief at times, with mind-numbing riffs preceding Pentium-speed solos, all with Harris' trademark melodicism and flawless execution. Defense Mechanizms was composed entirely by Harris with the exception of "Wolfgang Lives!", which is a modern excerpt from Mozart's 25th symphony. All instrumental rock guitar fans must own this CD -- you'll play it so often you may even wear out the laser on your CD player.
