The Story
"Thunder In The East", recently re-released by Wounded Bird Records, was by far Loudness' most popular album in the United States upon its initial release in 1985. The song "Crazy Nights" has gotten more radio time in the continental US than any other Loudness song. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the band Loudness, they are one of the leaders in Japanese hard rock/heavy metal. Loudness was formed by guitarist Akira Takasaki in about 1981, after Akira and drummer Higuchi Munetaka decided to move from the pop sound of their band Lazy into heavy metal in the same genre as Van Halen. These guys have been pumping out beautiful, heart pounding musical pieces since 1981, and are still rocking on today.
