Vinnie Moore "Out Of Nowhere"

Written and produced by Vinnie Moore (with production assistance from engineer Paul Hammingson), "Out Of Nowhere" is the guitarist's fourth CD and continues the hard rock sound found on "Meltdown" This time Moore included two acoustic songs as well as riff-a-plenty tunage such as "Time Traveler", "770 Days" and "Losing Faith". Recorded at Kajem Studios just outside Philadelphia (with additional work done at Moore's new home studio), the album, once again all instrumental, travels the outer limits of song writing. From the crushing opening riff of "With The Flow", to the smooth, almost angelic styling of "Echoes", to the all-out jam of "Thunderball" and his twang thang, "VinMan's Brew", the album plays like an old friend. Propelled by a powerful compositional framework that is second to none, "Out Of Nowhere" is lifted by Moore's unique understanding of harmonic expression. A lively and emotive balance to his technical mastery, songs like "From Now On", "She's Only Sleeping", and "Winter Sun" showcase the player's sensitivity and skill. The results are inviting.
