Future plans/projects

Blackwater Recording Studios is proud to announce our new location in Cabot Arkansas 28 minutes from downtown Littlerock. We now have a completely refurbished MCI console, mics by Neumann, Sennheiser, Oktava, AKG, PPA, Sure, Audio Technica and a host of others too many to mention. We feature outboard efx by ART, DBX, Cranesong, Rane, API, Lexicon, Neve and HHB. Preamps by MCI (24 JH416 and 8 JH528c prototype modules - the ONLY ones like them in the world!!!

Guitars

Fender Strats, Ibanez acoustic, Jackson Warrior, Alvarez acoustic, can't remember the model number but it was around 980.00 so whatever...

Keyboards

Yamaha CSX-1 Yamaha PSR-280 and a 1949 Baldwin spinette, Yamaha electric baby grand.

Sound modules

MIDI?!?!? WTF is MIDI?!?! :)

Percussion

Alesis SR-16, Roland TD-8 and a 5 piece pearl drum kit with Sabian studio cymbals all new Aquarian studio-x heads. The kick has an Emad series self-damping head and all snares are sporting ST dry heads.

Effects

Too many to list! ART, DBX, Cranesong, Rane, HHB, Oz Audio, Lexicon, Alesis and a host of others.

Microphones

Neumann U87's, TLM-103's, Sennheiser 441's, 421, Oktava 318's (8!!), AKG, Audio TEchnica, SM-57 and 58's as well as PPA-LD-1's and Rode NT-1's.

Mixing

MCI JH-416b completely refurbished with all new caps, and completely rebuilt power supplies. Rock solid and sounds killer!!!

Tape decks

48 tracks of Alesis HDR and out to the MCI's then to pc for editing and burning the cd's to give your mastering guy. We also do in-house mastering but please...get a real mastering house if you have a serious label project!! I mean...really.

Hard disk recorders

AKAI DR-8, Alesis HDR x2.

Monitoring

Main monitoring by Event TR-8's - secondary monitoring by JBL 4311-B studio monitors and an AB Labs amp. Also to flip to occasionally to check lowend are some small Klipsch speakers (35 wpc) and a 200x sub.

Computer

Clone 2ghz with 768 megs of ram w/250 gigs storage.

Music software

Nuendo 2.0 with all Waves and PSP plugins as well as a host of others. Also SoundForge 7.0 for 2-track mix if I absolutely must.

Additional equipment

Ummm...I have 3 Rottweilers, does that count?

Additional notes

I record anything for 35.00 an hour. I've done it all. Country, thrash metal, you name it - we redord it, anything but RAP. Please let us direct you to some PC based local studios. Generally speaking we lean towards rock but that's just the demographics of our area.
