Lebanon, Tennessee based guitarist Robert Condon has released his self-produced collection of blues, jazz, rock and world influenced music, entitled Stirred. Co-produced with keyboardist John Mardsen, the CD features ten instrumental tracks which could be classified as new age or smooth jazz (Russ Freeman and Craig Chaquico are artists that are similar compositionally), but that also offer solo sections reminiscent of guitarists such as Carlos Santana ("So Divine") and Larry Carlton ("Would You Fall"). Condon displays formidable talent, both as an electric/acoustic guitarist and as a producer/arranger; Stirred will certainly appeal to a broad range of fans who follow the guitarists listed above. Robert Condon began playing guitar when he was 8 years old when his sister K.K. bought him an acoustic guitar and some guitar lessons. While in high school in the Kansas City area he played many club gigs which paid for his tuition at the Berklee School of Music in Boston. While attending Berklee, Rob found gigs with local bands and decided to leave Berklee to pursue various music projects. During this period he worked as a session player on many diverse projects ranging from Englebert Humperdink to the "Aircraft" music library utilized by major production studios including CBS, NBC, Disney, and Paramount Studios. He also performed/recorded in prominent Boston bands Certain Circle, Yes Sir No Sir, and Thieves & Lovers. Rob decided to relocate to the Nashville area in 1996 where he set up his studio, The Warm Room.
Condon currently does session and club work while focusing primarily on writing and recording guitar instrumentals.
