The Story
Guitar legend Paco de Lucia returns with his first new album in five years - "Cositas Buenas". De Lucia, whose innovative style led to the rebirth of flamenco, returns to its origins to explore the primal connection between the guitar and the flamenco singer. "Cositas Buenas" is a breathtakingly original and deeply authentic celebration of the soul of flamenco. It is no exaggeration to say that Paco de Lucia, the maestro from Algeciras, revolutionized the role of the guitar in flamenco music and today stands as its most revered figure. After 30 years of earning international acclaim, winning legions of devout fans worldwide and exerting a towering influence on a generation of young flamenco guitarists, the maestro breaks new ground once again on "Cositas Buenas", his eagerly awaited followup to 1998's "Luzia" on Blue Thumb Records. "Cositas Buenas" features eight new de Lucia compositions, including three blazing bulerias "Patio Custodio," "Volar" and "Que Venga el Alba," the latter featuring guitar great Tomatito.
