Ottmar Liebert
Innamorare: Summer Flamenco
The Story
"Innamorare: Summer Flamenco", guitarist Ottmar Liebert's 1999 release, features Liebert and his group Luna Negra drawing from a diverse palette of influences that includes not only the traditional Flamenco style that has woven its way through Liebert's signature guitar sound over the years, but also jazz, classical, Afro-beat, funk, merengue and any number of dance rhythms from around the world. Add to this a festive atmosphere of heightened emotion, and Liebert finds himself in almost the same blissful mood that surrounded his debut, "Nouveau Flamenco", released nearly a decade ago. "Innamorare: Summer Flamenco" even features a tribute/dedication to Carlos Santana, entitled "Ballad 4 Santana".
