Seduction
The Story
Well known for dazzling guitar prowess, Oscar Lopez found his emotions drawing him in a different direction for his 1998 CD, "Seduction". "I found myself taking a more gentle, subtle approach," he says, comparing this album to his Narada debut, "Heat". "The song "Gentle "Seduction"" set a certain tone, and I didn't try to fight it or change it. I was careful not to resist or force the music that was coming out. There is still speed, and the spirit of the music is always very strong, but this is another side of me. People have told me they thought my music was seductive, and I thought about what that means. I believe if your mind is open, seduction can be a musical term - music can be seductive. It can be inviting and attractive. It can draw you in and make you close your eyes and fly."
