Mike Keneally
Hat
The Story
"Hat" is the sound of someone who can't believe he's finally being allowed to make a real live solo album," states Keneally. "I was giddy while making this album. Two and a half years after making it, it exists in my mind as this kind of goofy entity, but whenever I actually hear it I'm pleasantly surprised by how substantial it seems. I really couldn't have asked for a better debut album---one listen to this thing and you'll know a lot about what makes me tick." Check out the harmonized guitar extravaganza "Fencing", the maniac trio recording "Backstage With Wilson Phillips", and "Lightnin' Roy", nearly fourteen minutes of absurdity -- "Hat"'s epic.
