The Story
Released a good five years after Swedish guitarist John Norum's debut "Face The Truth", "Another Destination" is exactly what Norum fans have been clamoring for. Great songs and phenomenal solos, reminiscent at times of Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker, George Lynch, Gary Moore and Yngwie J. Malmsteen, make this release a classic guitar album. Kelly Keeling handles vocals, while Gary Ferguson supplies a pounding, driving drum sound to the hard rock and metal material. "Another Destination", which features the superb, impossibly liquid, six minute instrumental track, "Shimmering Highs" and a pair of evocative insturmentals, "Catalina Sunset" and "Jillanna", was dedicated to guitarist Gary Moore, a hero of Norum.
