Guitar Technique Encyclopedia
The Story
The "Guitar Technique Encyclopedia" is the most thorough technique book ever published. All of the lessons are written by top instructors and faculty members at The National Guitar Workshop. Every imaginable guitar technique is covered, in alphabetical order. Topics include: Slide Guitar, Finger-Style, Sweep Picking, Harmonics, Chicken Pickin', Finger-Tapping, and much more. (Tobias Hirwitz wrote 9 of the 16 chapters in this book. Other contributors include Matt Smith and Nathaniel Gunod).

Features include: detailed descriptions of the most effective contemporary playing techniques, specialized techniques such as tapping, sweeping and slide, tips for increasing speed and fluency, large, east-to-read music examples in standard music notation and TAB, plenty of fun, technique-building exercises to practice, and chord-playing techniques.

The goals of this book are to provide guitar players with creative inspiration, a resource for information about technique and maybe even some ideas for devising new techniques. This book has something for everyone, from the fingerstyle acoustic player to the shred master electric player - and everything in between.
