Hughes-Turner Project
HTP 2
The Story
The Hughes-Turner Project's 2003 release "HTP 2" is the second installment featuring the two former Deep Purple frontmen, Glenn Hughes (also on bass) and Joe Lynn Turner, together in a twin vocal assault of no holds hard rock that delivers on all fronts. Guitar duties on this follow up are primarily handled by J.J. Marsh, but some amazing guest solos are provided by guitar wizzes Steve Vai, and Jeff Kollman "HTP 2" finds this duo taking the Rainbow and Deep Purple sound and legacy to an even higher level. Solid, mid-tempo rock tunes with an ideal blend of the heavy and the melodic.
