Carlton/Lukather
No Substitutions
The Story
Two of the most influential and incredible guitarists of our time (as well as the most recorded), legends Larry Carlton and Steve Lukather team up onstage in Japan to deliver "No Substitutions" - Live in Osaka, a live concert recording that will make guitar lovers everywhere explode in glee. As noted axe-slinger Steve Vai phrases it, "This is the kind of music that real guitar lovers live for. These guys have a touch on their instruments and a musical awareness that is uncanny, yet accessible to listeners of all kinds of music." And Matt Resnicoff offers, "These guys deliver the shivers [on "No Substitutions"], ever so conscious of the big Hollywood climax, but they can also coax a note like it's their last--and each note is meant to last."
