50 Shades Of Shred: Sophie Lloyd: "Fear Of The Dark"

Sophie Lloyd is the British guitar powerhouse found on both YouTube (Sophie Lloyd Channel) and her personal web site sophieguitar.com, which offers guitar lessons (exclusive to her Patreon page), links to live streams, original songs and music videos, swag, and more.

After posting videos for the past nine years, Lloyd's YouTube channel has 725,000 subscribers. Her videos are focused primarily on Rock and Metal, as she has been influened by the music of bands such as Iron Maiden, Black Label Society and Pantera since she was a child.

This video is an instrumental shred version of the Steve Harris-penned Iron Maiden track "Fear Of The Dark", off their album of the same name. "Fear Of The Dark" was the ninth studio album for Iron Maiden (released in1992). It was their third studio release to top the UK albums chart, and the last to feature Bruce Dickinson as the group's lead vocalist until he rejoined the band in 1999.

As is common on her live-in-the-studio videos, Lloyd's buttery shred is all over this arrangement, which features high-gain tones, legato licks, melodic runs, and fistfuls of two-hand tapping.
