Lyrically, In This Place examines facets of 'belief and unbelief' amidst truths found in the Christian faith. With musical roots deep in progressive ideals, Reed uses highly structured forms with kaleidoscope-like harmonic progression to create the platform for unpredictable moments of intense expression ranging from somber to explosive. Two of the nine tracks are instrumental and give an affirmative answer to the question: is there anything left to say on the electric guitar?
