2002 Juno Award Winner for Best Instrumental Album ("Armando's Fire"), Latin guitarist Oscar Lopez pauses to reflect on his astonishing career on Flashback: The Best Of Oscar Lopez. He dazzles the ear and touches the heart with his stunning technique and soulful intensity with a passionate collection of tunes from many of his top-selling albums. The CD even includes a preview track from his new album coming in 2003! "My music is an extension of my soul and life experiences," Lopez explains. "And my albums - the product of this internal and external collaboration. As a parent watches a child, I revel in the thrill of watching an album take form." The Latin feel in his music is an important element for Lopez. "There is always a strong Latin beat in my music, definitely, because that's who I am."
