Miniatures for Guitar

Miniatures For Guitar is a unique collection of shorter compositions for the classical guitar performed by Liona Boyd, one of today's most outstanding artists. The program is not a showcase for Liona's virtuoso technique nor does it contain any major works for her instrument, but rather presents some of the familiar pieces beloved by all who respond to the magic voice of the guitar. With eighteen albums and numerous original compositions to her credit, the "First Lady of the Guitar" has an extensive international career. She has received four honorary Doctorates, five Juno Awards and is a five time winner of Guitar Player Magazine's poll for best classical guitarist. Although Miniatures For Guitar was made in 1977, it has been digitally remastered as the repertoire itself is timeless.
