Groove Train, featuring the work of Minnesota guitarist Keith Miller, is a fun CD filled with straight-ahead, groove based, heavy metal and hard rock with melodic guitar solos - delivered on both 7- and 6-String guitars. Miller notes, "I recorded everything using SONAR recording software except for "Dazed for Dayz", which was recorded earlier on an 8-track machine. After listening to "Dayz" - it was just weird enough to fit on this CD - so I put it on. I ended up keeping and using all of the scratch leads on this Groove Train (which I did not plan on). I recorded scratch leads for the original bass player, but schedules did not seem to match up - so I ended up recording all the bass tracks myself. Then, as I started to listen back to the tracks, I actually started to like the scratch leads. They just seemed to have that raw off-the-cuff vibe to them. When I recorded the scratch leads, I had the basic melody lines for most of the tunes but, when it came to soloing - It's all Improv."
