For Gongzilla's second album all forces jelled, as the monster found his voice. Bassist Hansford Rowe's singing brings a new element to the ferocious fusion grooves on Thrive. Featuring seven instrumental cuts along with the two vocal tracks, the record represents the best of three weeks of furious, real-time recording (there is no sequencing of any kind). The band put together for Thrive included Rowe (who penned most of the compositions) and English drummer Gary Husband, along with the mysterious and magical guitar work of Bon Lozaga and David Torn. Some of the hardest tripping music around!
