Voted #3 fusion CD of 1995 by Pulse magazine, Suffer offers eleven tracks of terrifyingly dense, heavy metal/jazz/improvisational weirdness. The formidable duo of Allan Holdsworth and Bon Lozaga are unleashed to create mind-boggling legato lines and solos over the excellent musical accompaniment provided by vibraphonist Benoit Moerlen, bassist Hansford Rowe and a bevy of New York's finest young drummers (including Vic Stevens). The sound clips amply demonstrate the high-energy material, however there are some beautiful slower moments on tracks such as "Allan Qui?" and Rowe's composition "Sing". Suffer has garnered some serious, and well-deserved, critical acclaim.
