The Unthinkable Deed was recorded by Edwin Dare in 1991, and represented the transition and evolution of the group VXN, with bassist Kevin Chown replacing Tony Ramirez. The CD featues the Kollman brothers (Jeff, guitar and Tom, drums) and Bryce Barnes on lead vocals. Both Steve Eyer and Mark Mikel contributed keyboards to the progressive hard rock and metal material. Kollman also contributes an acoustic instrumental "Edwins Shreds", playing some deft acoustic lines, but overall the CD features the heavy, indomitable sound of Edwin Dare --blazing, yet intricate, fretwork in a four/five piece setting.
