Fusion with a touch of modern electronics, a touch of funk and a touch of jazz. These are the words and genres to describe the music on guitarist Doug Markley's 2005 CD Connected. Always the fan of a good, driving solos, the eleven instrumentals are geared towards Markley's existing fan base - and beyond. Markley's ever expanding catalog is enhanced by what he likes to call his "instrumental techno groove jazz fusion guitar", as you'll hear on original compositions such as "That's Cold", "Cosmic Breaksdown", "She's All That" and "Rising Moon". "Japanese Tea House" is dedicated to Hideo in Kobe, Japan, while "Mountain Lake" is dedicated to Markley's son Adam. Doug handles all the instrumentation, production, arrangements and recording on Connected - another showcase of Markley's talent and original vision.
