The Gael, fingerstyle guitarist Christopher Dean's 2002 release, is a collection of Celtic traditional and contemporary music from Scotland and Ireland performed instrumentally on acoustic guitar. Some selections on this album include multiple guitars, percussion, bass and mandolin. Dean started his professional career as a full time performing musician in 1966 at age 18 in Tucson, Arizona. In January 1996, Chris started performing Scottish and Irish traditional and contemporary folk music on solo fingerstyle guitar. With the encouragement of Jimmy Keigher and Donnie MacDonnald (Men of Worth), singer/songwriter Dougie MacLean, guitarist/recording artist Edgar Cruz (and many other friends in the industry) Dean released his first solo album of Celtic instrumental music. "Highland Heritage" was released by Cairney Hill Music in September of 2000. After The Gael, Dean's third album "Celtic Journey" was released January of 2006.
