Celtic Journey

Christopher Dean
Sold through Guitar Nine thru 2012

Cairney Hill Music is proud to announce the release of Celtic guitarist Christopher Dean's third album, Celtic Journey. Joining Dean on this album is world renown/award winning Highland bagpiper Aaron Shaw, and Irish multi-instrumentalist Brian Baynes, who also co-produced the album. Baynes gained rave reviews from his production of Nollag Brolly's "Under a Pale Moon", which was noted by Irish Music Magazine as one of the top three Irish music albums released (in Ireland) in 2004. This instrumental album contains the traditional and contemporary folk music of Ireland, Scotland, and England. The pace of this album progresses from "breathtakingly beautiful" to "foot stomping ballistic". Dean started his professional career as a full time performing musician in 1966 at age 18 in Tucson, Arizona. In January 1996, Chris started performing Scottish and Irish traditional and contemporary folk music on solo fingerstyle guitar. With the encouragement of Jimmy Keigher and Donnie MacDonnald (Men of Worth), singer/songwriter Dougie MacLean, guitarist/recording artist Edgar Cruz (and many other friends in the industry) Dean released his first solo album of Celtic instrumental music. "Highland Heritage" was released by Cairney Hill Music in September of 2000.
