Bill Pierce is back, with his second CD release, Ripped. Rightfully named, Bill's music is the new Bill, finely tuned, mature... and well... Ripped! The album demonstrates an unyielding instinct for arranging songs with drive, intense energy and creativity. This release has a sheer expanse of moods - from enticing and exuberant rips on "St. John's Wort" to sultry, soulful moods on "Ballad Of Old Orchard Beach". "Red's Song" - a tribute to John "Red" Hammond - features chord changes that allow Bill's passion to shine. Bill's variety is engaging and shows a new level of awareness... awareness that captures the listener. Meanwhile, the title track really allows Bill's talent to take over and charm his audience.
