Capturing Guitar Acumen In A Pop Format

Living Between The Bridges, is the latest CD from guitarist/vocalist Sal Casabianca, a follow up to his debut CD, "Curve", released in 2001. His music is a blend of blues, pop, jazz and world with songwriting that conveys his unique perspective on life all delivered with raw energy and impressive acoustic style. Casabianca made an effort on Living Between The Bridges to showcase more of his blues and jazz influences, as well as feature his skills on the acoustic guitar more prominently than his first release. "Fool For Lesser Things" is a good example of this, featuring subtle jazzy fills and a smooth solo. For the instrumental fan, the acoustic closer "Landscapes" is music suitable for headphone absorption - thematic, yet at times unpredictable. A solid sophomore effort.

A native of Queens, Sal wrote and produced all the songs for the CD and his material often reflects on the unique experience of "living between the bridges". Sal's musical experience is nothing if not eclectic. He's gone from writing acid house music to playing guitar in a drag queen funk and soul band to being signed to a major label to begging for gigs for no money and warm beer. But that never stopped him from writing and performing music. For Sal, music is a creative outlet as necessary as breathing.

Casabianca continues his songwriting that conveys his unique perspective on life all delivered with raw energy and impressive acoustic style.
