New Columns

This edition's guest columnists are writing about sweep picking, CAGED and the "brown sound". We've got eight fresh columns altogether - five written by returning columnists and three contributed by first-timers.

Joining us for the first time is guitarist Jared Smith with "Django And Christian: The Culmination Of Jazz Guitar", guitar player Chris Schreiner with "Sweep Arpeggios - For Any Occasion" and Blaine Kaltman who has written "Reexamining The Brown Sound". Tom Hess is back, asking "Do You Want It Bad Enough?" Mike Campese returns with another excellent picking column, "Picking: 3-String Picking Ideas". Guitarist Tommaso Zillio serves up a double shot of columnar expresso with back with "How Pedal Points Can Change Your Guitar Playing For The Better" and "Guitarists, Don’t Get CAGED, Part 4" . Finally, acoustic guitar specialist Simon Candy returns with "Soloing With Open Strings On Guitar, Part 2".
