New Columns

December is our biggest update ever for contributions by guest columnists, who cover technique, studio recording and the music business. We've got fourteen altogether - twelve returning columnists and two first timers. First off is Mike Campese, G.I.T. graduate and instructor, with "Sweep Picking: Paganini". All the way from Japan is Chris Juergensen with his article entitled "Harmony - Slash Chords, Part 1". Guitarist Randy Ellefson returns with his column, "Interval Riffs: Simple Counterpoint". Canadian guitarist David Martone is back with another article entitled "Zone Recording: Workshop Live". Neo-classical guitarist Tom Hess contributes his piece called "Plans Are Not Goals". Danny Jones continues his technique series with "Shredding Blues Licks: Solos". Tony Koretz also rejoins us with his article "What Makes a Great Guitar Solo?" Guitarist Sven Stichter is back with another column, "Chromatic Swirl". Indie marketing and promotions expert Tim Sweeney has contributed an article entitled "Who's On Your Mailing List?" Guitarist and writer Jamie Andreas also returns with her article "How To Nail A Solo ". Freelance guitarist Neil Haverstick has submitted his article, "40 Years With the Guitar". First time contributors include Canadian guitarist Jason Sadites with "Using Different Time Signatures To Create Interest" and guitarist Tom Ball with "The Earliest Solo Guitar Recordings". Finally, music industry guru Christopher Knab returns with "Live Performance And Marketing Music".
