Neck And Neck
The Story
"Neck And Neck" is a mostly instrumental collaberation between guitarists Chet Atkins and Dire Straits guitarist Mark Knopfler. On this CD you'll hear tunes ranging from country chestnuts (Patsy Cline's "Sweet Dreams", Doc Watson's "Poor Boy Blues") to rock 'n' roll ("Yakety Ax", a send up of Boots Randolph's "Yakety Sax"), jazz (Django Reinhardt's "Tears"), a Mark Knopfler original track, and the Kahn/Jones standard "I'll See You in My Dreams". "Neck And Neck" also features the great Mark O'Connor on fiddle and mandolin and background vocals by Vince Gill.
