How do we block or "deck" a trem in the Custom Shop and why?
B l o c k i n g t h e t r e m o l o r e q u i r e s p u l l i n g o f t h e i n e r t i a b l o c k w i t h t h e t r e m o l o s p r i n g s c l o s e r t o t h e b a c k w a l l o f t h e t r e m c a v i t y t o p r e v e n t i t f r o m m o v i n g . I t i s a c c o m p l i s h e d b y t i g h t e n i n g t h e s c r e w s a t t h e "c l a w" , as it pulls t h e s p r i n g s t i g h t . T h i s m a k e s t h e b r i d g e b e h a v e m o r e l i k e a h a r d t a i l b r i d g e , e l i m i n a t i n g c o m m o n h e a d a c h e s . R e m e m b e r t h i s u n i t d e s i g n h a s n o t c h a n g e d s i n c e t h e 1 9 4 0's - h o w e v e r p l a y e r s h a v e c h a n g e d !
