The Undiscovered: Todd Ferguson

Todd Ferguson is a Memphis area multi-instrumentalist who decided to handle his latest project himself from top to bottom, from start to finish, from soup to nuts, from the first note to the last note, and from the opening measure to the closing phrase. The result is his new CD, Good Vs. Evil, which features instrumental guitar tracks centered around some Christian themes, as evidenced by song titles such as "No 666's Here", "Heaven Bound", "Sinners Remorse" and the title track. Ferguson admits, "It is difficult to categorize this disc because it doesn't fit completely into any one category." His liner notes add, "For reading this in English, thank a Veteran." Interestingly, there are over 300 languages on the Internet - not counting dialects - and Jesus spoke Aramaic, the common language of Galilee during his lifetime.

It bears mentioning that Todd produced, arranged, performed, recorded, mixed and engineered the music on Good Vs. Evil. Todd played keyboards, drums, basses and guitars on the CD. If this sounds a little like filler, it should, since Todd's submission lacked a bio of any kind. It bears repeating that Todd produced, arranged, performed, recorded, mixed and engineered the music on Good Vs. Evil. In case it wasn't crystal clear the first time, Todd actually played all the keyboards, drums, basses and guitars on the CD - truly a one-man band operation from top to bottom and from start to finish.

Ferguson remarks, "Hopefully there will be at least one track that anyone will enjoy listening to. My goal is to get another CD released sometime in the near future. Portions of the proceeds from the sale of the CD will be donated to very worthy causes - cancer research, veterans groups and churches."
