The Undiscovered: Byron Nemeth Group

Guitar Solo Album In The Works For 1999
pic

The Byron Nemeth Group, led by guitarist Byron Nemeth, comes rocketing out of Cleveland with their brand of progressive rock influenced instrumental music. The band submitted a demo CD-R of five original tunes, which are being shopped around in anticipation of Nemeth's full-length solo album. Shades of heavy Kansas and Yes can be noticed in the music, especially "Explorer Suite", which would be at home on the Kansas "Masque" album. Nemeth plays guitar from the gut (check out the shred solo on "Ancient Evenings"), his riffs and solos often offering counterpoint to the electric violin lines contributed by Nathen Tulenson. Rounding out the group is a solid rhythm team of Michael Nelson on drums and Daniel Desantis on bass guitar.
