Negative Harmony Explained In A Simple Way
Negative harmony seems to be a very complex subject, an yet once you've heard it explained the right way it is surprisingly simple.
The idea of Negative Harmony has been popularized recently on YouTube, and despite being something that made the news, there are very few resources who actually explain how it works and how to apply it.
Most people who try to understand it come away with the idea that they are not smart enough to get it, or that negative harmony is too abstract. I'd like to change that.
Negative harmony, at its core, is in fact a very simple idea that allows a musician to write interesting chord progressions. If you can play a few chords on your guitar, then you are ready to learn negative harmony.
By the time you are done with the video below (yes, it's a bit long) you will know how to use negative harmony to create your chord progressions.
See? Not as hard as you imagined! Now it's the time to make some music with it and have fun!
