A look at the Guitar Nine organization's corps of Fender-built Stratocaster guitars, amassed from 1980 through 2024. Fender is best known for its solid-body electric guitars and bass guitars, particularly the Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jaguar, Jazzmaster, Precision Bass, and the Jazz Bass. The company was founded in Fullerton, California, by Clarence Leonidas "Leo" Fender in 1946. It's been called the "Fender Fly 9", but that's a slightly elfin way of saying Fender guitars are played by superior musicians such as Eric Clapton, Vince Gill, Jeff Beck, Ritchie Blackmore, Eric Johnson, Hank Marvin and Dave Murray.
