Boxwork is the title of the folk/roots and blues CD by Californian Will Brady, who puts his steel-string guitar to work on sixteen instrumental solo tunes. The album features several Brady originals and traditionals as well as cover songs of material by artists such as Curtis Mayfield, Bob Dylan, Mississippi John Hurt and Huddie Ledbetter, among others. As Brady explains, "I've stepped all over the melodies and chord changes to most of these songs. I hope the composers aren't offended. I went for feel, mood, adventure - most of this is improvised. I've taught guitar for 35 years, gigged for 30 - and fell in love with the guitar yet one more time." Boxwork is an ideal collection for acoustic fans who appreciate inspired musicianship
