Georgia-based guitarist Warren Buttler's 2002 recording, Cultivation Of Grace, features seven new instrumental visions, a 15th century alman recreation and Buttler's own version of "Waltzing Matilda" for a total of nine songs. The CD is the follow up recording to the surprisingly successful "The Properties Of Mercy" and athough the new cuts "Armada" and "Hiking With The Shining Path" are Spanish guitar oriented, Cultivation Of Grace includes: "Georgia Nights", which features the square neck Dobro as background, "Wife Sleeps", a gentle, fingerstyle, steel string lullaby, "Call Sunday", a lament, "One Tango / No Dancing", which takes you to a gypsy waterfront dive, and "Realizations", which simply stands alone. Buttler's new CD continues his musical journey - come along for the ride.
