Music Has Evolved

Music Has Evolved is the title of the outstanding CD by Arizona's Warp 3, a three-piece group featuring Ryan Maza on guitar, Mike Martinez on bass and Jim Pavett on drums. Warp 3's music is an accessible amalgam of instrumental rock, funk and fusion that embraces the best of those styles yet shuns the excesses of each. Stripped down and in-your-face, Warp 3 keeps you on your toes. Music Has Evolved features soaring, melodic lines and bone-crushing grooves, which sit side-by-side with catchy riffs and sophisticated chordal embellishments. On tracks such as "Ass Kick", "Hype" and "Invasion", the catchy hooks share equal time with the exhibitions of prowess, taking you on a trip through gossamer threads of finesse and curtains of fiery technique.
