Drummer Vic Stevens and his band Mistaken Identities' 1995 CD, Where To Now, contains jazz for the end of the millennium from a phenomenal drummer who can actually compose. While the lead melodic and solo instrument throughout the CD is Demetrios Pappas' keyboard, three tracks feature some outstanding fusion guitar soloing from Vincent Collela, "Till We Meet Again", the title track, and the pulsating "Blue Light Special", which Collela augments with a furious lead break and funky rhythm work. This trio of tracks serves as a fusion guitar lesson for aspiring six stringers. Of course, Stevens plays his life out on the drums on Where To Now, and his songwriting is nothing less than inspirational.
