Uversa

Uversa is the brainchild of guitarist and composer TJ Edwards, who peppers the nine songs on his debut CD with an unusual combination of Spanish/Gypsy acoustic guitar, and raw, overdriven, direct-recorded electric guitar. A number of guest musicians contribute to the works, including spoken and Spanish vocals by Big Michael Colin (on two tracks), tabla by Raj Kirumakki (on "Illuminessence"), percussion by Kirby Orrick (on "Revelation I") and alto saxophone by Bret Sexton (on "Nairi"). Edwards' improvisational guitar musings dominate the sonic landscape, as the rock influenced material unfolds and outlines the musical storyboard. Uversa will appeal to the eclectic rock fan looking for something a little different and left of center.
