The bass dominated release Ultrasonic by Greece's Uthull, blends fusion and metal influences to create a unique sound. Led by bassist Kostas Domenikiotis and supported by the keyboard work of Sakis Bandis and the drumming of John Tsoulfaidis, the mostly instrumental work (one vocal track, "Tonight") display how the bass guitar can be used as a melodic, solo, supporting and lead instrument on heavy progressive experimental fusion material. Band members have played in groups such as Horizon's End and Thunderstorm, and use their experience to enhance album cuts such as "Lust", "Testosterone", "Astral Goats" and "Eternal Sword-Part II".
