At the top of their game in 1994-95, Tribal Tech, with ace guitarist Scott Henderson and bassist Gary Willis, released Reality Check, which featured eleven instrumental rock/fusion tracks replete with great melodies, technically complex rhythms and killer solos. Henderson's astounding command of the fretboard is evident right from the get-go on "Stella By Infra-Red High Particle Neutron Beam" a send-up of Young and Washington's "Stella By Starlight", which opens the CD. Henderson and Willis are given every opportunity to stretch out and improvise, especially on the 12-minute opus "Hole In The Head", and on the slightly shorter, but powerful "Worlds Waiting".
