Australian guitarist Tony Burcel talks about his 2007 solo release, "Ten years in the making, Overdue began with the melody for "It Came Back". Although lost until just recently, this melody provided me with the desire to compose and produce my first solo album, Overdue. It has been a dream of mine to put together a solo instrumental album of my own original work. The composition, arranging, recording and producing of Overdue has been a rewarding and often intense experience for me. A work-in-progress, this album is a collection of my favorite pieces from the past ten years, and is a reflection of different musical styles. This process has also afforded me the opportunity to work with many talented musicians who appear on the album - their input into the music has been invaluable. I hope you enjoy listening to Overdue as much as I have enjoyed making it."
