Louisville-based acoustic guitarist Tim Pitts' debut release, Castle Ghosts is a fifteen track collection of steel-string rock and easy listening numbers that bounces with melodic guitar lines. Highlights such as "Wooden Man", "Flight Of The Phoenix", "The 11:11 Suite" and the title track display Pitts' abilities to relate stories using engaging music instead of carefully crafted prose. Castle Ghosts also showcases Pitts' talents at blending bluesy and jazzy phrasing into his compositions to add color, texture and interest. Acoustic fans will certainly enjoy this almost one hour of steely articulations and lush soundscapes.
