Blending hard rock, neo-classical metal and shred genres is China's Ted Kuo, the slightly heavier counterpart to Powell Young on his CD Alien Guitar Hero. The ripping guitar is supplemented by keyboard and drum machine backing, but display Kuo's advanced technical gifts. The liner notes are almost completely in Chinese, so information is scarce, but you can amaze your friends with your own take on what's happening on this mostly instrumental release. The sound clips will have to suffice, so give Kuo and his music a careful listen.
