Comfort

Susan McDonald

Sold through Guitar Nine thru 2012

Classical guitarist Susan McDonald's 1998 offering, Comfort, was
Inspired by an experience with cancer patients. She learned most of the music late at night in the deserted hallways of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Personally soothed by the pieces, and touched by the emotional responses from passers by, McDonald decided to share the music on CD to reach a wider audience. The selections on Comfort includes works by Myron McDonald ("Ambivalence", "Sonata In C Minor"), Nicholas Weber ("The Clock"), John Pierce ("Rain", "Joplin In Rio", "Chorinho", "Dances By Moonlight"), Paul Clancy ("Southern Suite", "Reflections Of A Night"), Enrique Granados ("Spanish Dance #5") and Francisco Tarrega (the classic "Recuerdos De La Alhambra").
