The Steve Riddle Band was originally formed in the year 2000. The band brings a hard-driving guitar sound with influences which range from the blues artists of the past to the contemporary sounds of modern rock. To hear the band you might hear shades of their influences: Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Satriani, Phil Keaggy, Eric Johnson, Ian Moore, Eric Gales, Gary Moore, Lenny Kravitz, Robert Randolph, Lincoln Brewster, etc. The band's new CD Glorybound Soul contains a mix of raw guitar rock. Each track has it's own flavor, with the improvisation of "Soundcheck", the hard-hitting blues/rock of "Hard Life", the funky rock of "Saved By Grace"
and the polished epic "Zion", and also includes excursions into other areas such as the 15 minute jam "Lord Knows I Ain't No Angel" and the atmospheric emo-feel of "Dreaming".
