The Grand Scheme Of Things

Steve Howe
Sold through Guitar Nine thru 2012

The Grand Scheme Of Things is Yes guitarist Steve Howe's 1993 solo album, a follow up to '91's "Turbulence". This time the mix features nine instrumental tracks and seven vocal numbers, Howe himself handling most of the vocals himself. Howe also gets to express himself on The Grand Scheme Of Things using a number of instruments, including dobro, steel guitar, bass, mandolin, keyboards, organ, Spanish guitar and anvil! "Desire Comes First" is the first instrumental on the CD, and finds Howe trading licks with violinist Anna Palm, whereas "The Valley Of Rocks" is a signature solo acoustic guitar piece. A must for Howe fans, and worth a listen for instrumental fans who don't mind a number of vocal tracks.

Steve Howe is in the musicians directory — hear them on Apple Music.
