Travels

Steve Cunningham

Sold through Guitar Nine thru 2012

Travels features the unusually versatile Steve Cunningham on eighteen original instrumental tracks, with the guitarist rockin' out on electric, acoustic and slide guitars, as well as dobro, banjo, and jaw harp. Influenced by such diverse artists as Led Zeppelin, Pat Metheny, Yes, and the Brecker Brothers, as well as classical and bluegrass music, Cunningham's fiery electric guitar, creative acoustic work (six tracks highlight his unplugged ability), blazing, yet tasteful technique (check out "The Quickness", "It's Clobberin' Time" and "Bunch Boogie"), sense of humor, and imaginative improvisation puts Travels into a very unique place among instrumental rock offerings.
