Born in Yugoslavia and now residing in Toronto, Canada, guitarist Slav Simanic has released his debut CD, Water Of Life. The eleven instrumentals (and one vocal number) offer intense, aggressive hard rock/metal and display both rich arrangements and a dedication to the sound of overdriven guitar riffs played with precision and dynamics. Water Of Life also advances a powerful Christian message through its occasional use of spoken word quotes taken from the Bible. Simanic plays fierce, melodic guitar (on a Flying 'V') throughout the record, making his release a top-notch, instrumental rock favorite.
