Acoustic fingerstylist Scott McAllister's debut instrumental release, Journey features thirteen gorgeous Celtic-influenced pieces, many (such as "Jigsaw", "Si Bhig Si Mhor" and "Mountain Air") duets with violinist Meredith Cooper, whose ethereal couterpoint adds richness and color to each work. Wonderfully recorded, McAllister's guitar speaks volumes, evoking moods and emotions through melody and dynamic phrasing, especially on original compositions such as "Eyes Of A Child" "Seaside Jig" and "Song For Sandra". Journey would definately appeal to discriminating lovers of beautiful acoustic fingerstyle music.
